Aiyo....return w/o asking for reward or return with a clause or return to the company lost and found is all up to individual, but the main thing is, YOU MUST RETURN.

p.s. ta kek buay sai seng eh.... (pax cannot spoil one)

I fully agree with bluenuts on this : ta kek buay sai seng eh....
Once, i returned pax a lady's handbag with h/p, purse, keys etc etc...
I travelled from Bt. Panjang all the way to Jur West.
Guess what happened?? That ungrateful pax just took back the
handbag, turn around and walk off without saying a single word.
Not a word of thanks, not even a smile.

Bro, God is watching and you'll get your reward.
Probably I have not convey my message clearly that's why bro D not quite happy lor, honestly I will return whatever left behind without asking for a cent nor anything makes me feel good cos I know different pax has different expectation. I understand and have pity on those who are unwilling to return without pay... sympathy.

If my BtPanjang pax left wallet @ 2245, I drove high speed from BTTimah returned @2320; another Woodlands pax left mobile @ 0135, high speed from TPY returned @0215... go back to city? or wash car go home bcos no mood already, sian lar. sleepy.gif

If the passenger told me "Thank you!" or "This is one dollar for you to take a coffee, good night." Either one will fill me with energy, die die must drive.

If office not open, return to nearest police post or police center, next working day past the police report to the coy, if office open, just leave it with lost and found. No arguement and less hasssle.... furthermore you will clock points on your hirer record which will contribute to your quarterly bonuses...

bro, u don't get anything extra on the quarterly incentives lah...
there's no such category as honesty in the incentive statements.
i've returned items to coy lost & found dept 7 times,
returned items to pax personally about 10 times,
received commendation letter for good service 2 times,
my quarterly incentives are still the same as the rest.
furthermore, they used to give u 2 or 3 merit points if u return lost items,
but now u don't get anymore merit points at all if u return lost items.

Agree that GOD/HEAVEN got eyes, but hor....they all bery busy you know, don't trouble them too much, many other important things need to be done.
Example increase taxi flag down, reduce rental, lower diesel price, we need the GOD/HEAVEN to help us on that you know???

Bro bluenuts, be very careful with what we asked hor. Especially increase taxi flag down. Sometimes God also know how to joke one you know. Increase taxi flag down can also mean increase in taxi queue but no passengers waiting. smile.gif

See! Can have severe repercussion if situation is not handled carefully. Sometimes we do or say things without thinking and become irrational. Not good for oneself.

What to do? Ppl treat TD as slave then be us slave lar, but slave also need to eat hor.
Begger also need to eat, geylang ladies also need to eat... same same; make it short - everybody need to eat then why TD need to provide FOC service at their own expense? Confuse lar.

99% unpleasant conflicts can be avoided if tone is right, 100% argue happens because of rudeness between pax and TD.

Me a typical slave type... Q at T3 almost 2 hours got pax to simons road, luggage dun know what was inside real heavy guess more than 50 kg one bag. 3 bags already sunk exhaust pipe touching humps. Loaded in already dry out energy liao, when arrived the husband paid $14 and asked 10cents back.... he then stood outside smoking, wife outside chatting on mobile. Who unload baggage??? Wahlau! Me again? Can't wait lar, dim dim unloaded to roadside... think can go out kovan MRT fast pick pax... then the husband asked me, "HEY! could you move them next to the front gate?" Aiyo, bochup liao I just drove away with a big smile... complaint? haha don't care because I know I will loose my temper if staying there few seconds more.

me no slave or beggar...i dun drive a cab free of charge...i pay rental...im my own boss...my business is people mover...maybe add service with a smile...maybe helpful if pax is also helpful

im not paid to carry luggage...although coy encourage TD to do so but not mandated to do so

some countries pay TD for loading/carry luggage in cabs...not here...pax wait for 10 cents back & want me to carry luggage...go fly kitedisbelief.gif

Yaya biggrin.gif A couple from T1 to Mandarin Garden on Monday, again big and heavy baggage. I learnt and asked the husband help to load. When reached fare is $15.1, he took out 3 $5 notes and searched thru his coin bag finally gave me a 10 cents malaysian coin.... sigh... I didn't help to unload for such cheapao. After he unloaded baggage I asked him "Here is Singapore why you gave me malaysian coin?" He said "I know it is malaysian coin because somebody gave it to me". He then took back the M coin and walked away, wahlau... I chased to the lobby and asked for my S 10cents back.

Evil to good or good to evil... very difficult to define. TDs are generous if pax is generous.... at 4am 2 youngsters from Loyang go simei and bedok told me "uncle, we dont have sufficient money.... can or not?" I said "just pay me as you see fit, $1 also can, I'll send you home no issue".

All the taxi taking passengers think we taxi drivers own them big.
And that we make a lot of money from passengers. This all will change.

LTA is to be blame !
