Is it mandatory to display your Badge

Was ferrying ghost until kena a devil with taji hand signal, alight the ghost and aboard this devil, my nightmare begins...look educated, speak good english n around 50 plus.
Inside the cab complaint about the high cost of the ride and for no reason identify himself working in NTUC....me just listen. Oops missed the turn but used the 2nd turn to reach his destination.
Now here is the juicy part, total fare $8.60, only asked for $8 with 60cents discount due to my slight error and with no proper direction from him. Pax say cannot accept the discount bcos he is a goverment servant and it's tantamount to corruption. Me just keep quiet and asked for the full fare. After paying asked me where is my taxis badge, how come never display, he needs to know who is the driver. I say inside my wallet. He say ok i already taken down your taxis nos and tomorrow will write a complaint to smrt about me. Repeated the words few times until i needed to shoe him out. Now i know why human are more scary than ghost. He make history for the being the first person in my Complaint tomb.

Huh! Now we got badge meh? How come I don't know? I know we got one big photo card prepared by CDG with the Taxi registration and particulars of the taxi driver. Accordingly to LTA ruling, we have to display our VDL not the "badge". smile.gif

Yes, I read it somewhere too only required to display VDL either facing the passenger or hang it on the shirt but must show to passenger upon request.

I would have tell him that I will not be the first nor the first not the last that he will complain. That his name will appear more than mine with the taxi companies.

That guy is out to bully taxis driver, claim he work for NTUC and knows the in and out of taxis business. To me..what so big deal working for NTUC , most of the time i just keep quiet and only answer mono language. I believe not all cabby display their name except comfort. Good thing no thinner around if not will set him inflame. ha!

NTUC and Comfort are two different entities. NTUC does not operate nor own taxi fleet. If pax claims to be working for NTUC, he may be working in the supermarket chain or is selling insurance.

bro regit... next time when you encounter this type of pax... just take the full fare and let them do the talking. afterall cheapos like to complain alot. so long you dont argue with them.you are on the safest side. just remember..every pax has the right to complain but as long we are not in fault then not a to worry. silence is gold at times. patience do play apart. yr endurance must be good too. good luck to you!

With this kind of high ranking gahmen servant, i will NEVER give discount, learn from the people at mustaffa, even 5-cent also must count.
