Timing go airport Queue Up

I stay in Pasir Ris nite shift starts 8pm, usually go Changi North net booking and roadside, if fail I then go direct to airport.

In long run, after calculating realize most of the time is not worth Q at airport because hourly collection max $18. Am I stupid not heading city chiong CBD surcharge instead?

Please enlighten me.

These so-called cheapos still pay the airport surcharge mah. So cab drivers have to tikam tikam with them lo. But we cannot make too much noise right. It's our choice when we join the airport queue and we all knew it's tikam tikam. smile.gif

I've been a resident of tamp/pasir ris for more than 3 decades.
I was born in the eastern part of this island and am proud and love living here.

But, I am no cheapo!
I seldom walk to the street to hail a cab, instead I usually call for it,if I need to go town or the Airport.
But, I AM indeed a cheapo when I want to go home from the airport,
Not because I can't afford the fare..........just don't like unpleasant encounter with the uncles at the taxi Q.

You have to do some homeworks, check the different days and timings of arriving flights at different terminals.
Do you have the patience to wait? or are you a restless, chiong type of driver, full of energy to roam the streets?
Do you show sign of frustration and anger when the long awaited trip is to your home town in Pasir ris? Thus spoiling your mood for the rest of the night?
You decide for yourself.

I don't go straight to the airport even though it is only 5 minutes away, unless i am quite sure the wait is less than 30 minutes. How to know the wait is going to be long or short,
I can't explain to you here.

Like the city areas,Changi North/Loyang areas have lots of calls at nights during weekdays.Picking up a $3.50 call is as good as waiting at the airport.
The trick is to know where the calls are from and where to position your cab.
Are you with Comfort Delgro?

I may not be qualified to enlighten you,but I do make a good living driving a cab during this hard time.

I saw his cab too smile.gifhalf size notebook placed on dash board, cute but dangerous unless fixed with screw and mount.

Think quite easy connect online thru mobile boardband device. However, still not guaranteed like last Saturday, from 1am to 3am T1(12 planes), T2 (4), T3(3) and about 01:15 panel states 8mins T1 18mins T2 and 120mins T3, of course Q T1 lar... I was on Q about 70th, wait and wait until 2am all pax gone liao left only bali not landed and next big one is 5pm.

BTW, sorry out of topic. Saw a Sonata Sat Sxxnn55 with STC decal on rear screen. Whose taxi?

not all are cheapo, its all depend on luck, i had this ang mo pax to tamp, i forgot how much but only remember he still put out his hand long long to have the 20 cents change from me.

but i kena the same kind generous pax twice, fr AP T2 to pasir ris st 11, 1st he will apologise for the disappointment that he had caused, the best part is he gave me $20 and say KEEP THE CHANGE!!! 2 time also same pattern, wonder any bro did send him before???
