I am for increasing of Taxi Meter ! Too cheap ! All taxi to be made $5.00.

buses and mrt are reducing fares. I dont think this is the time to increase taxi fares.

reduce rental by $10 and fares by $0.30.

City Life is hectic,everybody want speed and convenience.After all,time is money,and what matters most is to save time and trouble.

Wait till you pick 4 passengers and they tell you from Joo Koon MRT Station, "Uncle, 4 places please." Then you KNN here KNN there and all because its a short trip. So taking cab is better to passengers than taking feeder bus because it's faster and possibly cheaper.

With more pax taking short trips, especially those trips going to the nearby mrt stn, lower flag down will kill us.
In the end all the busy effort will only go to the rental and fuel, do you think that's worth it?

I agree. with more mrt stations coming up, we will surely see more short trips.
The paxs are not going to be thankful if you reduce taxi fare.
If pax need to take a cab,they will take,30 cts or 50 cts means nothing to them for each trip.But it means a lot for taxi drivers running around whole day and night.

Taxi drivers main concern is steady income for their own.More $$ the better.
And not concern about expensive taxi fare or pax's ability to pay.
Expensive taxi fare may means less trips..But with less taxis on the road,we still can increase our take home pay.............................. Imagine this man took my cab,
asked to go various 4 D outlets,ask me to wait while he ran in to place bets.What is taxi fare to him?feel bad because the fare is so expensive???

1st flag down Meter rate : $8.00



Distance : Every 200m 30cents, above 6kilometres every 100m 40cents.



Waiting/idle time : First 4kms=10 sec - 40cents.



Above 4kilometre every 10 sec 40 cents or

5 sec 20cents . Above 4kilometre every 5sec - 40cents



1700-2000 hrs - 50% meter ( No longer 35%, because more taxi and no passengers and passengers complain no taxi and that taxi play hide and seek.



Make it 50 % from 5pm till 12am and 12am till 6am 50% meter)

2000-0600 hrs - 50% meter midnite surcharge



CBD Surcharge to be scraped :

Flag down rate now $8 anywhere and everywhere applies.

Every taxi stand surcharge of $4.00



Hotel $6.00 (So local will not try to pass off as tourist and con us into going out of CBD. The fee should disincentive otherwise. This will be revised according to reoccurrence.

Tourist flash passport $6.00. Locals place show pink IC $8.00 to compensate going to places where there is unflavourable traffic conditions. Taxi drivers reserve the right to pick whom and who to go )











Airport Surcharges :

0600 - 1800 Monday - Fridays = $10

1800 - 0600 Monday - Fridays = $10



0600 - 1800 Saturdays - Sundays = $12

1800 - 0600 Saturdays - Sundays = $12





Animals : +$10.00 per animal.

Dog : +$10.00 per dog.

Parrot : +$10.00 per bird.

Handcap : +$10.00 per handicap.

Funitures : + Screw you, you get a mover.

Luggage : +$2.00 per additional luggage

Dogs which smells : +$20 per dog.

Food which smells : +$4.00.

Passenger which smells + $4.00

Injured passengers : + $20 ( You save on ambulance and ask us to hurry, you hurry give me more money, you **** )





Idiots (Looks stupid ) :+$10 per idiot ( Looks stupid likely to give wrong address. Give wrong direction. And ask for stupid requests like go pick a friend cause you to wait on double zig-zag roads/ double white lines / bus stops/ taxi stand / taxi stops behind green board, behind bush. Or ask if a friend can swap taxi with him/her while he/she gets down and he/she come up your taxi while your meter still running.



Indian / Chinese Nationals Idiots or cannot speak English/Mandarin or the above known languages spoken in Singapore : +$20 upfront before taxi move off to anywhere first.

Likely to accuse you of going the long and wrong way. When already you ask him/her the preferred way to travel.



No cash upfront, taxi no move or meter no start.





Vomit in Cab : + $70 (On top of making a report or statement. Photographic evidence and vomit sample. Make available of 24HRs report center. )



Will be revised when more problematic pax arises !

I guarantee you no longer will taxi not stop for you . Not stopping for you is a thing of the past.



Complains against taxi will also drop ! Complains are from people who cannot afford to pay yet want to exploit taxi drivers.
