Tink they temporary took it out due to widening of the CTE, after all its done, will be back to take nice pictures of speedsters, maybe better camera with improved resoulutions, heehee sprint.gif

I saw road works next to the camera last week at night thought was repairing didn't know relocate.

I think they removed it for the addition/improvement work on CTE. If I remember rightly, they are going to build a flyover from PIE direct to CTE bypassing bradell to ease the bottleneck there...

As far back as last week one of my pax highlighted to me that the CTE speed cam was not in place..

I was looking out for it a few times and realise that it had been removed....

just be careful along that stretch just in case they spring a surpirse one when you least expected it.

交警拆除CTE侦速摄像机

在中央高速公路（CTE）靠近布莱德路路段执行侦察超速驾驶摄像任务的侦速摄像机已移走。

　　有网民数天前上网说他们在上月27日早上看到工人在拆除这个侦速机，而询问这个“交警机器人”是否已退役下岗。

　　这个用了大约20年的侦速机，近几年被公众和汽车网民认为是早上繁忙时间朝市区和傍晚繁忙时间往北行驶的交通阻塞罪魁祸首。

　　一路以超过80公里时速飞飙的司机，往往一看到它就惯性地踩踏制止器，以把车速减低到80公里规定时速，突然的减速行动使其他尾随司机依样画葫芦，结果一整排的车子突然放慢车速，塞车车龙也就立刻形成。

　　更糟的是，这个“交警机器人”就在布莱德路出入CTE的地方站岗，刚好是车辆从布莱德路右转入朝市区CTE的支路出口，及从CTE进入布莱德路出口的汇合点，结果让塞车情况加剧。

　　更使情况雪上加霜的是，有司机看到同一路段的公路电子收费闸门亮灯时，也放慢车速。

　　警方拆箱前没有宣布，就算拆了好多天也未公告天下，因此有读者询问这个“交警机器人”是暂时“放假”，还是永久退伍？

　　警方发言人受询时说，这个“侦速摄像机已移走，这是交警检讨行动部署的部分结果”。

　　虽然没有进一步说明，但可以推测的是，这个路段交通拥挤，车辆在繁忙时段很难超速行驶，“机器人”已经无用武之地，交警在“定期”检讨全岛侦速摄像机的部署后，决定把它移到其他更需要它的路段。

但这个用了十多二十年的侦速摄像机，技术已经落伍，因此也有人怀疑“重新部署”之说，宁可相信当局要装置更先进的侦速器。

　　无论什么原因，对经常使用CTE的开车者来说，把这个“眼中钉”拔掉，可说是大快人心。家住宏茂桥的王清仁（43岁）说，侦速器移走对驾车者来说当然是好消息，并相信该路段的超速情况不会因侦速器被移走而恶化。

　　超速驾驶毕竟会害人害己，警方装置侦速摄像机就是要阻吓不负责任的驾驶者，维护和保障其他公路使用者的安全，就算移走侦速摄像机，开车者也应自律，保持安全驾驶习惯。

bro stkee, i really hope got pie link to cte siam the braddel part, cus i stay north... :)
