I REFER to the letter, "Hounded by a raging, reckless cabby", by Mr Kelvin Chor (The Straits Times, March 18).
We are dismayed to learn about this incident and would like to apologise to Mr Chor and his family for the unpleasant encounter. We do not condone the behaviour of our driver and have since terminated his hiring contract with us. We had previously warned him over a similar offence.
ComfortDelGro cabbies have been regularly reminded to drive safely and be considerate to other motorists at all times.

Aiya....whenever CDG drivers get into any disputes with pte car drivers or passengers and they made a complaint to the press, it's a foregone conclusion liao. Investigations and interviews are just a formality becoz no matter what the cabby says, they will only listen to one side of the story - the complainant always wins.
although Comfort dont wan you , there are always Prime, Smrt, Transcab, Yellow-top, so no problem for bad cabbies to sign with another operator. Are the cab companies discerning to not accept bad cabbies?? They have many cabs to hire out. Shouldn't the cab operators refer to LTA for action to be taken??... to weed out cabbies damaging the Image of TaxiUncles. There are many licensed cabbies out there... some of whom are not driving.
Depends who made complaints, write in to press got ink got money. When their vehicle breaks down then will become customer of CDG high chance book a taxi then earn few more cents. Of course side motorists, some more zap driver is a FREE ADS!!!
