Hi to all the "taxiuncle", like to find out something regarding becoming a taxi driver:
What is the cost that a taxi driver need to incur, beside the rental and fuel?
Does the driver need to pay for insurance, servicing of car, diesal tax .....?

no, you pay only the rental n diesel used. smile.gif

for SMART taxi, yes, they charge one-time insurance during my time as a relief.
now after 2 years i dont know liao.

4 mi I prefer go to S.T.A n enrol myself if currently u r not working u can take up the express course. Total course fee is 258 nett... But u need to pay a 40 bucks to L.T.A our super big boss 1st if they approved yr application then they send u a letter ask u go to take photo of your nice body n give Doctor touch touch u check check here n see see there.. Ha Ha jus joking lah.. Ok! Serious liao... A X-ray of your chest & a medical check-up.. U can go to any of the polyclinics but b4 u go better call up the one u r going make sure tat branch got X-Ray department.. The fee for the whole check up i can't remember but confirm between 42 to 47 dollars.. After check up approve by doctor then u can go to S.T.A to apply 4 the course..

road tax, insurance & monthly servicing is under them but for breakdown they will check wats the problem.. If they found out its the hirer nvr take good care of the cab that coz it to breakdown maybe u got to pay 50 to 100% depends on tat coy u join. Now got 7 cab coy everyone got its own policy so b4 u sign anything ask & check properly then sign..
