"Another one common destination is S'pore Girl Guides Assn.(Camp Christine), inside Jln Bahtera, off Lim Chu Kang. The paxs are alright, mostly students or camp trainers. If you've never been there, the pax will always say they direct you. The problem is when you come out alone. KNN,that night I went, some lamp posts lights not working!"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few days after my above posting on 24/May, Chinese Wanbao news reported a taxi driver drove 2 schoolgirls to Camp Christine.Somehow,he lost his way midway. It was about 9pm and the driver drove round and round but couldn't locate the camp.In desperate,he chased the 2 young girls out of his cab and somehow found his own way out.The girls were left stranded for 2 hours in the dark before they managed to call for help. I reckon this driver has a lot to explain.
My advice for those drivers who have not been there......If you want to take the fare there at night, better confess to the paxs that you don't know the way in or don't take them at all. It is easy to get lost inside when it is raining or lamp posts lights not working. Your MDT map may not always be useful to you in the area. Your handphone may switch to auto roaming Malaysia service provider.
The area is common hideout fot illegal immigrants. Don't forget to auto lock all your doors!
You may think I am exaggerating. Well, I have been there, and I don't want to take another fare.
pray:
