Bros, never give pax receipt unless you recieve the fare from the pax. Also if your hirer claims that the machine is not working, than go and get it fixed. Because whatever happens it is still the cabbies resposibility to ensure that the equipment is working when you are picking pax. If coy do not want to repair, than ask coy to put up a sign stating that the machine is not working or to remove the machine totally.

i drive only 30 months [very new still]. So far, I ever encountered m/c not working 3X n they is no other mean passenger can pay u. i ask the person to call my handphone on the spot. i text him my account number. 2 paid the next day while 1 pay up after chasing him for days.

for the benefit of new cabbies,

The method as mentioned by actfast42,
is a tried and tested way of ensuring payment through transfering into driver's POSBank or UOB account.,
works better especially when the pax h/p number isverify.

can also
refer non payment incident to relevant company's taxi kiosk representative for further action.

Do not give pax the receipt, retain it as proof of the trip and get the pax details by copying it from pax NRIC, if pax still refuse to pay up thru account transfer, you can lodge a police report and followup by a report to you taxi coy. My ex-relief did it once and the police actually goes to the pax house and collect the fare and pass it to the coy. After that the coy called him to go down and collect the fare.
I know it is troublesome for a few dollars but this kind of pax is preying on this loop hole that we will not go thru the trouble to get a few dollars back.

If you r drivingblue or yellow donu have a booklet for cashless payment, just write down e card nos and then submit to any petrol kiosk. Think any coy with cashless machine should hv e booklet check with ya hirer. cheerss smile
