A MAN who refused to pay his cab fare was fined $4,000 on Monday for behaving in a threatening manner towards the taxi driver.
Shanmuganathan Kandasami, 37, admitted to holding a 12cm-long knife, staring and walking towards cabby Seah Tong Seng, 46, in a threatening manner outside his flat at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 on Aug 23 last year.
The court heard that Shanmuganathan had hailed the Comfort taxi along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 to go to Avenue 10 at around midnight that day.
Wow!! $4,000 Taxi fare and with a Police Record???
Maybe should compile a book and put inside our cab so that passengers can read it for themselves how risky our job is.
bro, if u compile it into a book and put it inside ur cab, do u know what else can happen? u will be inviting copy-cat would-be cheaters and robbers. that guy was punished becoz the cabbie had his address. we do not know our paxs' actual addresses unless it is on-call. don't invite trouble if there's none.
