RE: My hardest day

To me it's bad omen to reject pax...i never reject pax with pet, so far my record is dog, cat, rabbit and geylang chicken. Most of the pax with pets are very courteous and nice but so far no such tips as $20 buck. The only worry is they must not poo and pee in the cab.

my 2 cents

if u happen to pick up such generous passenger, ask u keep the change

quickly pass them a namecard, and ask for them for business in future

say, they can book a trip from u on which day, at what time.

i will take pax with pets as long as it's not a big, ferocious dog.
after all, a pax is a pax. money to be made, don't miss it.

Fewer people taking cabs [source straitstimes.com By Maria Almenoar]

FEWER people are taking cabs these days as more hop on buses and trains, or cut back on travel expenses.

On average, there were 893,674 taxi trips made a day in the first three months of the year, the lowest in five years, after recovering steadily from a post-Sars low.

This is about 8,805 fewer rides a day than the same quarter last year, and down another 74,673 rides from 2007.

OMG........imagine LTA gonna spend $1M together with the help of Taxi Asso & Taxi coys to promote more ridership for cabbies during this bad timesnoconfuseno

cumon LTA...the only help we need from the garmen whom we voted for is to reduce the darn ERP for taxis which in turn would reflect lesser taxi fares for paxs thus increase ridershipsfurious

to spend $1M as advertisement to promote ridership is to get advertisment coys running all the way to the bank with garmen $$... disbeliefdisbeliefdisbelief

Spending $$$ to promote taxi ridership is a waste of good money if taxis cannot q for pax at taxi stands. eg Sim Lim Sq which is a taxi stop with no allowance for even a single taxi to wait for pax in such a high turnover pickup point.cry

Technically Yes, smilesmilesmile

Geylang Chicken can be classified as a PET whether as a noun, a verb or an adjective..

- noun
a person especially cherished or indulged; favorite:
For instence - She was the Pax's pet.

- verb (used without object)
to engage in amorous fondling and caressing.
Both PAX and his/her PET indulge in some form of the abovementioned activities

- adjective
showing fondness or affection: to address someone with pet words.
Example: Some PAX will address the "PET" as PET.
"PET, your place or my place" OR more direct "PET, your face or my face?" (PUNS intended)
