Sometimes Call Booking good, sometimes Street Jobs good.

My record i paid $150 per month ( $0.70 per piece admin fee ) , so what ?

6 years of playing calls , honestly same pay like my buddy , he sweep street hire only , sometimes they earned more than me .

Only advantage , same pay , my mileage is lesser than them , i paid less money on diesel .

For consecutive years , i got merit points for getting average 100 calls a month .

So what ? When i resign , they also penalised me for minor scratch on my sonata bumpers .

I quit September 2008 , partly becos the new fare structure , caused taxi ridership down .

Thus no more regualr calls coming in .

Less calls , more cabs on the roads ....

CityCab and Comfort call system merge , quite demoralising .

A few years ago , Comfort is 6552-1111 , CityCab is 6552-2222 .

Once they merge , it favours CityCab totally , not worth it to drive comfort .

I drive comfort becos of calls , no call drive what comfort ?

Last September , driving a Comfort , before i quit , on a Friday night , from 4.30pm to 12am , it's an achievement to collection $220 .

With like 6-9 calls one evening .....

Now driving a TransCab Wish , without calls , from 4.30am to 12am , it's common to get past $230 collection , and i would say easily , and consistently .

Calls ? Nay .....

Hitting town with CBD City $3 , is faster than grapping calls .

5pm start , to 12am , dun take any calls , and believe me , Tuas surely got one big durian drop from sky !!!! Yes at midnight ....

it is true every drivers got almost the same numbers of bookings each month ....

Last time , the more calls u take , u more calls will be given to you , like 13 pieces a night , not now , now u kena 3 piece , the system limit liao for you , the next call will not go to you , will go to someone which got only 1 call .

The system will automatic analyse the average and despatch .

I agree and disagree ...

Calls are good for early birds, that is if you get it ...

Eg, 5am in the morning - woodlands / CCK
Ping - go airport ... steam
Reach airport 5.30am
drive to changi north , wait a while
Ping - go northoaks , sometimes french road oso steam ...
The above was my best week day, by 7.30am already hit 100.00
by the time i finish shift collection 29X

But sometimes got bad day, yesterday 10.30am 6x.xx nia haha, what a contrast

Today i'm without call ...
Peak hr at CCK , lady outside regent flag go depot rd ... steam
drive to jln rumah tinggi , a lady further down the shelter flag
go IKEA , then she say tampines IKEA , haha ... steamer
along the way feel so shoik, can zoom zoom cosno traffic, jam jam is opposite side ... hahaha
these 2 trips 4x.xx all in an hour
at 9.15am in pong, contemplating whether totake call or not ...
in the end street pick one go ubi, just nice reach destination 9.31am
if were to wait for call, may miss the golden period ...

with the above scenerio, calls is important so is connection and lastly muz be decisive

Comfort marketing slogan emphasis MINIMUM 3 CALLS PER DAY. I now know.

give an example ....

Two taxis .... parked at Penjuru Road 12am .

One Toyota crown with 2 calls overall that night ...
The othera Sonata with 3 calls oready overall ...

If sekali 38 , Tanjong Penjuru CWT ON-CALL , most likely 80% , the crown will get it ....

Cos within that perimenter , the lowest quota taxi get it .
Sonata cannot complain kelong ....

Another eg ...

2 taxis parked at same spot ..... both 3 calls ....

if sway sway Teban Garden Road got one 0 call taxi , this 0 call taxi will kena , cos 3 minutes can reach ma .....

The perimeter of 3 minutes .also count in .

It used to be who nearer who get it , no la , not now .

If3 taxis ,all same3 calls that night , two at Penjuru waiting , one tai ko at Teban Gdn , the one that has got the least call that month will get it .

The first job despatch to you , it's very crucial to your night .

How far , or how near , or how tai ko , u reject it , that's it , game over for you the whole night .

But if u take .... the night will be a good one .

The more u reject , the less powerful will be your MDT .
