Upon reaching the destination...china princess would dial her handphone and asked her cashcow...
"where are you ? I have reached your castle...hurry up ...come and pay the taxi fare... and etc... "
To date...it has never failed me to guess that I must reached my destination correctly to collect my fare or otherwise no fares to collect.
Only once...my first few days on the road.. I have to tell a mei mei...to alight..in the rain... and say sorry my mandarin sucks and I dont understand where you are heading ..please alight and wave for another cab ..who's under stand you better

Talking abt. food, ppl will go the extra mile if its good, today got a call from hillview to go to a famous prata shop in thomson, as i never eat in this so call famous prata shop before, luckily bro fairfare was otr to let know the location, the fare definately cost more than the prata itself haha...
I must say I admire pax who work and study at the same time ..especially those that doing their mbas and post grad degrees...
Some have to travel from shenton way to ntu / shenton way to james cook....after work and during peak hours ..wow $$$$$$
I pick up a pax this week fr Woodlands 3M to NUS......along the journey I learnt that he is studying part time and has 8 years to complete this program....8 years ? wow again...
What makes this journey interesting is that this guy ..apart from juggling his studies and work ..he is also occupying his other free time with residential training....
Counting classes and RTs...what's left of his weeks and days ?..almost nothing left... barely having time to rest or social life...
I did not want to probe further ..it is obvious he did not mentioned about his family....where got time to get married ?
Another thing that brings to mind about our male counterparts...IPPTs...
After working almost 10 -12 hours a day...where to find time to train....I noticed that the number of RTs are quite high ...again you get cases of paxes rushing after office hours for camps from shenton way and etc..
I must add that I was fortunate that during my time..I had time to plan and train for my IPPT...do it once and get it over with....I hate to be disturb and upset my routine..
Nowadays it seems it is quite impossible...It is quite sad and I am beginning to think that this is the way life is today....
No wonder where got energy for XXX after work and procreate......population sure stagnant right ?

I had a Indian pax on business and visiting Singapore after 25 years...he is currently based in Dubai.
He boarded from Raffles place and asked me to take him to Pennisula plaza for shopping..he wants to shop..
I said excuse sir but if you want to shop ..penninsula is no longer the same as it was... you will surely disappoint yourself.... we have bigger and newer malls for you to discover... how about Raffles city ..which is across the street...he said with a beam..why not..
While heading there..he told he was in the property industry...wow that got me excited...
He said Dubai's property has collasped by a good 50% in value ..thanks to the Lehman bros episode..
I began to think ..luckily I did not sell any units to our singaporeans some 4 years back when i had to overseee some Dubai project..
Then again it is quite ironic to think that the lehman episode can cause such damage to the middle eastern countries and singpaore seem quite immune..look at the number of units ..developers have been selling over the last few months..let's see how long this wave will last..
Lastly , my wife was commenting to me that her boss asked her " how do you know your department is doing well ? "
Do you look at numbers , appointments or ????,, by the way she is in the lifestyle services...
She replied ... by the number of referrals from satisfied customers....do note that this company has adopt a very minimal marketing program ... somebody ought to fire the marketing department and the HOD !
Deep down in me... i thought silently...I have brand new customers or paxes everyday... from all walks and nationalities...I still have to practice some form of marketing , strategic planning and good pr.. to ensure that I am still in business and doing it well.
