My comfort friend told me : " CBD pick and go .... nett $3 , tekka areacall $3.50 , minus admin $0.53 includ GST , nett $2.97 , u siao ah ? Tekka Ah Neh on-call , can pick then ok , if knn no show kan na lan !"

There are about 80 over gantries, if boundaries were to be expanded more than half of these got to be tear down and LTA need to find a suitable location to erect them. Will they go tosuch extend ?

My sources told me that to erect 1 ERP gantry costs 1 million
and guess how much time is needed to recoup the cost ... 1 month

and when challenge on the effectiveness of the gantry, the reply was it does help to ease the traffic on the congested road

If related to this thread , i am saying the CBD period after 8pm , not during peak hour .

if u asking me will i pay $3 , depends case-to-case .... if got " Cash & Carry " , no need Q , yes . I earn merely on that peak hour 35% .

If no guarantee C & C , no la .

$3 most likely no la . Will wait til maybe $2 or less .

so still no resolution to this problem solving issue after 8pm where cabby hit into CBD , and shun outside CBd paxes ?

Well, everybody can be smart and waits for the best bargain or choose the best time.
But TD cannot do all this...in their term TD are providing a service.
When they want taxi must have taxi available. TD can't get pax "they deserve it."

Though it may not be as many taxi going into CBD, but it's enough to supply the demand, maybe pax just que a little longer.
CBD though long que of taxi, but the demand is there.
What's the longest time you gota que in CBD for a pax between 8pm-12mn?
With regard to calls outside CBD not many taker as it's not lucrative plus risk of no show is there, this problem can easily be solve by taxi coy tying up with telco coy.
Pax once made a successfull call, an admin fee will be incur, eg. $2.00, will be charge to their phone bill.
This is to prevent pax from no-show or cancel booking.
Cabbie get $1.50, taxi coy get $0.30, telco get $0.20 if pax no-show or cancel call.
If pax being pick up succesfully by the cabbie, prevailing booking fee apply, i.e $3.50.
So pax save $1.50 if no-show or cancel booking and we cabbie get some form of compensation for the time lost.
When we book a ticket for a show in the cinema, they also charge a non-refundable fee for every successful booking regardless you go collect the ticket for the show or not.
So i believe this can be done too for taxi booking.
