If we cabbie united in the way u feel it should, FT will be driving our taxi lo...
Why? FT won't give problem mah...

Bro poolman, I agree that my idea got many lobang and coy is happy with the current situation but I can assure you that if my idea being work out in detail, the coy will make more, corporate client will not effected and genuine pax who need a cab will get one.
If it's the worry of drop in no. of calls base on my idea, I can tell u it will not happen.
Why? Those successful call done will still call, hence drop in call is unlikely.
Those call and no-show or cancel are in fact the $$ lost to the coy which they should get it too cos operator waste time to get taxi for them, waste time to cancel booking for them, waste time to listen to us complain to them, all these time wasted for nothing and the coy still gota pay the operator.

There is another solution.
Make the call charge dirt cheap, say $1.00, so cheap that everyone want take taxi will call, coy still make more $$ but we make less.
Increase the flag down to $5 will cover the lost of call charge for us.
Current call system remain, no need to change.
Pax no-show or cancel no sweat cos another call lai liao...

I concur your option 1.

Op2, no no. now $2.5 is dirt cheap already, I only got $2 to run for 1 km, need to wait, call, total spent more than 10 mins.... not worth. If no show then all effort gone.

a bit out of thread , but i look at this booking stuff in another persceptive now .....

Now Comfort taxis when on call at specific dominance area like inside CBD , the risk of no-show is high , very high .

Cos the taxi population has increase compared to a few years back .

10 taxis go out of CBD , 30 taxis replacing them now ... due to $3 city surcharge .

The population of taxis from Prime has increase as we speak .....

Oso TransCab Wish .....

Not forgetting the ever increasing population of Sonata and Magentis .

This 2 Korean cars are one of the fastest on theroad for taxis ... it's faster for them to make a comeback into town after hitting their destination .

Compared to previous years when those old crowns took slighly longer time to replace the taxis moving out of CBD at that point ....

Last time 10 taxis move out of CBD , maybe only 5 taxis replacing them inside CBD . Now reverse , the % has increase .

So no-show % has increase as well .

Pls take it as a part & parcel of taking jobs .

Tats why caller shd pay admin fee if they call lor since the no-show or cancel rate so high.
Currently cabbie and coy operator busy for nothing lei...
This part and parcel of the game can change for the better mah, why accept it when there's a way out?
Got KPE go ponggol why use CTE then TPE?
I call this UPGRADE!
