1) "implement location $2 surcharge toselected taxi stands outside cbd . From 8pm to 12am "
Pax will try to avoid your coy cabs...

2) "CBD start from Newton area , Novena , Tekka , Rce Course Road , Owen Road , Golden Mile , North Bridge Road , Harborfront , SGH "
Pax will try to avoid your coy cabs...

3) "20% peak hour surcharge"
Your takings for every trip will be 10% less than all other cabs

I just hope it became a mandatory surcharge , as in approve by Public Transport Council aka LTA .

No taxi coy will implement such individual ruling just to solve the problem , one taxi company will never be enuf .

Point No.1 : This $2 is to solve waiting problem , to pay $2 or on call $3.50 , it's up to them . This move will actually make other company follow . No cab , any cab willdo concept .

Pount No 1 : This move will deprive commuters from walking from cbd into non-cbd area .... if all paxes walk from lucky plaza to Far East ...... imagine .

Point 3 : Like a Crown, $2.80 flag down cheap ma , but commuters still take $3.20 Merc like nobody business . Do they shun Merc ? No i think .Merc less $0.40 profit ? No i think .

If i can connect more and faster , pax chose to pay 20% instead of 35% , cut Q if they know , ..... i will earn more .

I dunno , my point is to solve problems ...... Like now , it doesn't affect me .... i'll go where the pasture is green , i'll go where the carrot is .

The rest i dun care really .

i strong believe and hv no reason not to believe that all the taxi coy are required
to abide to ONE taxi fare structure. meaning, if onegiant up or down their fare,
everyone must follow.

I remember when Smart delay the 35% surcharge , their taxi drivers , never before , got so many bookings in a day .

Logic to do that..... to book Smart at $3.50 , is cheaper than the 35% surcharge .

$$$$ is the key .

I did not propose to abolish 35% , yes it bite onto our income , no doubt , just a balance between supply and demand . 35% created too much supply , cut down demand . Problem !!!

0% surcharge created more demand , supply less . Another problem .

20% surcharge and we see how the market react .....

Bro poolman, I agree with you that 20% may be just right.
However, that's providing our flag down rateis raise too.
Flag down $4.00 and peak 25% or flag down$5.00 and peak 20%, other surchargeremain as it is and itshould do wonders.

There's no silver bullet.

we can say watever we want but will the big boss listen? they have their own plying rules, not up to cabbies to decides... as yet *STC* not with the big boys yet...

that's why i said why cabbynot support opposition when election? Hill lan them , just vote for opposition ! Anyway that partysurely win all election , but let the winning % wake them up !!! To win a ward by 4 percent mark will make their chief nose bleed .

I remember once our propositon party MP won just a few percent on his ward at one part of AMK .

And that does wakethe MPup . He later went on to give perks to many Singaporeans .

I cannot stand one malay Comfort Sonata driver put almost 10 Singapore flags on his Sonata during last month National Day to show his patriotism .

Remember why the 2 retired cabbies hurts that same unlucky MP ?

I just hope those Adminstrator aware that cabbies cannot pray pray one .
