I told them procedures are setup by human and be more flexible. My conclusion is that all these coys tagline at the end of the story is to generate more income for their stakeholders and they couldn't care 2 hoots about u.

Therefore still contemplating whether to drive for them again after my ordeal is over but that will wait awhile. I believe when ecomomy picks up again, pple will start going back to work and by then see whether they will still be as arrogant as before.

Well, will take a sabbatical for now and I wish everyone here HUAT AH.

My Hirer tried this with me due to a scratch from some shopping cart auntie while I break for lunch . So I fock him upside down and inside out and throw the keys back to him. Now you know why some Cabbies deserve to get **** by ATD .

I think u have make a big mistake here. When ur front hit others rear, u are 100% at fault. I would have gladly paid him $100 and ask him to sign mutual settlement on the spot and carry on with my shift.

Getting insurance coy involved will increase the amount u have to pay. Now the lawyer , surveyor and workshop will be thanking you for giving them business.

Hi Chevy88, take it as a lesson and maybe luck is not on your side. Having say that, not sure about your driving skill, for any greenhorn without any driving skill if straight to Taxis driving it will be very tough. Last heard that a biker was killed in Hougang accident by a cab this morning....i myself also had an accident recently not all my fault, anyway i paid the biker for his injury and paid for the Taxis repaired cost and one wk later kena another $130 by the traffic police for anyhow drive on the road. As for the accident, the most impt thing is not the cost...It's the guy injury is not serious, no boken bone just blue black if not it will be never ending. So count yourself lucky that it's only some lost in income.

Sorry to hear tat. Yup, I have not been driving for quite awhile. Anyway, wats past is past. U're rite. Most important thing is no one was hurt. Money can still be earned. For now, I can't even drive a comfort as I got to clr my liability first.

Will take a break for now and chiong again once evrything is settled. smile

Most likely will be going for some other coy.

Can try Beach Road Taxi at AMK.
No deposit require, insurance $80.80 per yrs.

If you drive regularly, they will reserve the same cab for u.
If not need to call them, whether any cab available.
If cabs not rental out they lost money...plus parking coupon.
If you go there in the morning you will see lot of used night parking coupon on the floor.

Beach Road Taxi are for those who do not want to be tie down by contract.
Have spoken to them a few month ago. (AMK branch)

They deal with Silver Cab. Very good business. Last Wed morning when I pass by ,all their cab are out.
You can choose which day or shift you want to drive. Those regular, they will reserve the same cab for them.
For part timer call them whether any cab available.
Is a good option for free n easy driver.

Rental $47 crown (manual), Kia $55 (auto)
Accident liability for Crown $1,070 and Kia $1,605
Insurance $80.80 for one year.
