Bros, please be aware that you are not even allowed to go into the broken lines bus lanes to pickup or drop off pax. The broken lines are only for you to make turns. If caught confirm $130 gone.

For those who have forgotten:

How far away from a bus stop can a taxi stop to pick up or set down passengers ?
Ans: 9 meters away.

Are taxis allowed to use the bus lane during its operation hours ?
Ans: NO.

Do so at your own risk.

Law-abiding is good, you won't kena summon.
But if u stick strictly to ALL traffic rules,
it will be hard to achieve a decent income driving a taxi.
Sometimes u just have to take risks.
Practice what u learn in the army: u can do anything, just don't get caught.
Don't just look out for pax, beware of white mouse, white ants, white monkeys etc.

BRo, sorry to hear that. But appeal is just a waste of time. Just take it as $130 school fee. I'm sure there are many other bros here kena more than you... Save the time to appeal to take a few more trips otr...

Some say they drive within the speed limit. No need to worry about speed camera. I believed them.

Honestly I can't. I can only drive within the speed limit during traffic jam or when I'm riding a bicycle.
Most of the time I follows the flow of traffic. Once a while I try to be F1 driver when I felt that is it safe.
Along roads with speed camera I will drive at least 8-10 Km above.
Will not overtake TP...must give them face. But if police patrol car traveling too slow I will overtake.

Disrespect from other road users? Depends how you look at it. Taxi driver is well known a road warrior, our skill is second to none on the road, we know which lane goes faster, we know short cuts, we know which red light can break without fine, we can go everywhere normal car users can't.

Income? We can beat ordinary junior manager take home pay if we wish to. Self esteem is nothing to me bcos if I can't feed my family well esteem is empty.
