STOMPer Kai Long is frustrated at calling for a Trans Cab taxi on two separate occassions, only to get a no show from the taxis both times.

He wrote:

"This is the second time I have faced this problem. I called a cab from Trans Cab, and was informed that the cab would arrive in 5 minutes.

"15 minutes later, the cab still had not arrived, so I called the service centre. The answer from them was: 'So sorry, the driver never answer

the call, will send you another cab.' "While waiting, we saw the cab that we called just pass by in front of us with a female passenger inside,

but I am a male. When I called the service center, the cab still had not been flagged down. "So we made a complaint, but they didn't accept

our complaint because we could not provide a full car plate number of the cab we had called. This was a month ago. "This morning, July 6 2012.

it happened again!!! It took place at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 main road. This time, we marked down the car plate number. Again, the same incident

and situation took place at the same location! "So we complained again and they promised to get back to us within 5to 10 working days.

I hope they really will get back to us for this second incident!"

My opinion for those calling cab who is waiting at main roads:
- they just call for fun, if booked cab arrived before any empty cab then they take.
- they booked cab as a stand-by option before coming down from home.
- usually, they won't wait and fulfill what they'd promised - BOOKING / GIVE ORDER.
- they like to blame and complaint.
- they are prone to divorce, why say so? they never remember the word "I DO".

To me, I never take main road booking, and I never take taxi stand booking (except inside CBD).
Save your time, don't run for nothing. Most of the time, that kind of people not deserve your effort.

Genuine booking should be "Lobby Block 2xx Ang Mo Kio Ave 1" NOT main road.

Booking cab could directly reflects the person's character. When the person book a cab before he walk out from office/home, then this person is paying more to buy time; he/she has good time management skill, they know how to achieve cost-effective target. When you meet them, give them number ONE service.

When the person willing to queue at taxi stand, it doesn't mean that he/she can't afford to spend $2.3 or $3.3 but means that they are following the common rule - Queue instead of "Book and cut-Q".

When the person who is queuing at taxi stand and book a cab... haha these kind of people are rubbish.
