A young woman driving a black BMW crashed into a van after she appeared to have beaten red lights. The accident happened at the junction of Holland Road and North Buona Vista Road on Saturday morning.
Channel NewsAsia reported the incident after a woman, Grace Lee, sent in a video footage of the accident. Her husband was driving a taxi and stopped one car behind the van at the junction.
A dashboard-mounted camera in the taxi captured the ensuing accident.
The video showed that about four seconds after the traffic light turned green and the van was already moving ahead, a black car suddenly appeared on the right, sped towards the van and hit it at around the fifth second.
The car, a BMW, crashed into a traffic light, knocking it down, and ended up on a road divider.
A second video on YouTube shows the taxi going back to the accident scene shortly after to capture footage of the damaged car.
Channel NewsAsia reported that no one was injured and investigations are still ongoing.
