Enjoy smoothies under 250 calories from Dec 12 at their outlet at The Centrepoint.
Singapore, November 22, 2012
US brand Smoothie King is opening its first outlet in Singapore at The Centrepoint this December.
The 39-year-old company popularised the healthy, fruity drink in the 1970s. They have more than 500 stores in the United States and over 100 stores in South Korea.
Some of the popular flavours include Caribbean Way (made with papaya, banana and strawberries) and The Hulk (made with butter pecan ice cream and protein blend). All smoothies are said to be under 250 calories.
They aim to open more outlets across Singapore in the next three years. The Centrepoint store will be located at #01-09/11 and will open on Dec 12.

It is just great to know that ˇ°Smoothie Kingˇ± is opening first outlet in Singapore. Well, instead of drinking smoothies at restaurants I prefer making them home. It is quite inexpensive way. My morning Green drink includes spinach and blueberries.
Making an exit from Singapore is American smoothie chain Smoothie King, which is believed to have closed all its seven outlets here in the past few weeks. However, the company's spokesman said it is still keen to operate in Singapore within a franchise agreement.
The smoothie chain had expanded rapidly since it opened its first store here in December 2012.
