Money Matters:-
1. Ability to accept the fact that Nett Earnings are not fixed (stable).
2. Don't be a Penny Wise Pound Foolish; e.g. tear a park coupon if need to.
3. Give more than you take. e.g. accept cashless transactions.
People Issues:
4. Ability to tolerate nonsense created by (rude) passengers.
5. Ability to adapt to all sort of attitude or patterns by all taxi uncles.
6. Be fair to your own relief or hirer - pump the right amount of fuel you have utilised.
On the Job:
7. If you are new, let passengers know in advance.
8. Don't panic when something goes wrong e.g. Taximeter blanked out, tyre punctured, etc
9. While driving, always look for opportunities to give way to motorists so that you WILL be given the way if you need to make last minute changes.
10. Love yourself well - e.g., when there is a need to go toilets, drive to look for nearest petrol kiosk and take 5.
11. Re realistic - long working (driving) hours may equate to higher earnings but it may also deteriorate your mental and physical well beings; in the end your taxi career will be a 'short-lived' one.
