SINGAPORE - It was a weekend that music fans won't forget in a hurry.

What with Taiwanese rockers F.I.R. holding court at the Max Pavilion at the Singapore Expo; Taiwanese diva A-Mei returning just over a year for her sold-out Encore concert

at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, and of course, the return of the Laneway Festival. Held this year at Gardens By The Bay, the festival saw the likes of Kings Of Convenience,

Polica, Japandroids, Kimbra, Of Monsters And Men, Bat For Lashes, Tame Impala and Gotye, among others, taking the stage. While some people felt the sound wasn't up to par,

most of the other punters were only too happy to celebrate this gathering
