A man's plan to evade paying his $18 taxi fare was foiled when he was pinned down by the taxi driver on March 19.
The man tried to flee when the taxi stopped at a traffic junction. The cabby, who wanted to be known only as Mr Chan,
said the man boarded his taxi in Jurong and wanted to go to Woodlands. When the taxi stopped at a traffic light at the
junction of Woodlands Avenue 4 and 7, the man opened the door and took off.
Mr Chan gave chase and caught up with the man, who was later handed over to the police.
