A driver who hit a woman cyclist and drove off has denied that he is the culprit.

He said this when confronted by another driver, who chased after him and made him stop. The man then drove away again.

The cyclist, believed to be in her 30s, was riding along Mandai Road towards Yishun Avenue 1 when the accident happened at about 9pm on Tuesday.

A police spokesman confirmed that it was a hit-and-run accident involving a car and a cyclist.
