Woman refuses to let taxi move off after cabby picks up passenger who cut queue

A woman stood rooted in front of a cab at the taxi stand near Bishan MRT station for 20 minutes on Friday (May 31) in a bid to force out the passenger inside who had cut the queue she was in, reported STOMPer Karanjit.

According to the STOMPer, the woman was in front of him in a long queue waiting for taxis, and was infuriated by the actions of the queue-cutter.

In a video sent in by the STOMPer, the two women can be heard engaging in a screaming match, with the former shifting herself to block the taxi when the cabby tried to reverse and move off.

In his report, STOMPer Karanjit wrote:

"I was waiting for a cab at the taxi stand near Bishan MRT station at around 6.30pm yesterday (May 31).

"There was a long queue of people waiting for a taxi when suddenly, this woman just cut the queue and boarded a cab that came in.

"A lady in front of me in the queue got furious at the sight of that and went to stand in front of the taxi to prevent the cab from moving off.

"The woman who cut the taxi queue then stuck her head of the vehicle to explain that she needed to go off as her son was sick.

"However, the lady in front of me was not buying it and told her she's not going anywhere and that she should get out of the cab.

"The cabby tried to inch away from the lady but she stood her ground, and told him that she will report him to his company if he moved off.

"This went on for about 20 minutes at least when I got on a cab that came and left the area."

KNN,,, me alwayssee this kind of "hungry" TU pick pax out of taxistand evenhe knew the taxistand is full of pax ....

yalor, especially 10M before the taxi stand at serangoon shopping centre.

so lazy even juz to drive further up to pick pax from the Q at taxi stand.

hope they kena by the LTA no

there are getting more & more 'hungry' TU out there... I just kena a TU 'snatched' my pax OPENLY at zouk yesterday morning... & it was when zouk pax had dried up... What to do... move on & find another one lor...

ya correct TU, & that's what I always choose to believe and do. Well, sad to say that out of the 10 times, only less than 3 times I'll get paid back by good deed drivers. At least better than none. lol

nevertheless, there are some good taxi drivers too. like giving way for us to switch lane and so on.

anyway, this forum was started many years ago to bring the drivers together and hopefully we can raise the standard all together.smile

1. If i know pax cut Q, i will tell them politely that there is a taxi q. Kena a few times by tiongs. They think this is 大陆. If there is no taxi q, i let pax sort out among themselves who get in my cab, i dont get involve. LOL
2. I kena potong jalan pax a few times, unfortunately always blue or yellow teksi. I on left lane, blue/yellow teksi on my right side, pax flag, he cut in front of me to pick pax. KNN!
3. Also i always experience when i going straight and the other teksi coming from slip road. He will patiently wait but when see my teksi coming, he will dash out infront of me. I think he scared in front got pax and he must not let me catch. 小人！

1. Depends on the pax who board mine. if nice, I'll tell them nicely but if they reluctant to get off, I'll proceed. If the pax is bad, just talk to my hand. Couldn't bother with them too much. lol

2. Sad to say but really don't know why, same here. always kena from blue...

3. Yup, experience this a few times every single day. So hungry? Give you lor. Why wana find trouble & cause accident leh... bang liao we both also no taxi to drive, no income. for what sia...

not really la. haha. I can only say that I can see more 'open' than them. I always remind myself that as long as we don't get into any accident, we are still able to ply for business & continue earn our income. biggrin
