Can I charge my relief driver for days off and mc??

Recently I found a relief covering day shift for me and he got flu yesterday and got mc from doctor.

can I charge him for partial rental that he's suppose to give? If so, how much is considered reasonable?

Really hope the lau jiaos can advise. Thanks

first, was there any agreement on this (MC) covered during the initial negotiation before he starts driving for you?

i think is a give and take situation. one day, you may also caught a flu or something and may need him to cover your duty.

so, maybe you should tell him that 1 day is ok, 2 days and above may need to share daily rental like $10-$30. smile

well said by TU. ;)

In my case, my hirer's requirement is that irregardless whether I'm on off, MC or oversea, as long as I'm not driving, I have to pay 50% of my usual rental.

Advisable to all hirers that draft an agreement carefully in details. List out what is mandatory & what is optional, so as to avoid or minimize future dispute.

All the best ^_^

if you know you need to attend to something urgent for a few days,

get a super relief to drive for you. you would feel relief, your hirer would be happy too. smile
