It has been 1 mth since i started driving taxi, sometimes meet lousy pax make my mood feel bad and unstable, but there are also good pax that makes me feel good. There was one Saturday around 0300h, at concorde hotel, i was heading there for a call booking, at the traffic junction just before turning to the lobby, there were over hundreds of ppl, waving and tried to stop my taxi, the crowd stood in the way and covered few lanes stopping any taxi that passes by, the situation is so scary, i can imagine them as zombies wanted to eat me. As the entrance was choked, i stopped my taxi about 50metres away from the lobby area, at the main road. Right after i stopped, 2-3 ppl immediately got into my taxi, i told them my taxi is on call and they got down disappointedly....then few more ppl again wanted to get into my taxi, i locked the door and went to look for my pax. Found them at the lobby area, 1 girl dead drunk and 3 guys semi-drunk...they carried the girl and staggered along the way towards my taxi, the front pax says go Jalan Simpang Bedok, i say i dunno way, pls direct me.....he say u asking a drunk person to direct u.....but he managed to do it, we reached the destination. That was the only time i saw so much ppl but not enuff taxis. Sundays also have similiar kind of feeling, too many pax, even main road call booking managed to get...like 3 diff grps of pax will try to move infront of each other in order to get the first taxi that comes by....

One of the Sat i dropped a pax at Centrepoint along Orchard Rd @ 1650h, immediately after the pax alighted, got call booking at Centrepoint. But one of the auntie already got in, i told her i got a call booking but i didnt accept and i'll take her. Her disappointed expression turned to a happy smile. There are over 20 over pax queueing but there are no Taxis at all, prolly waiting for 1700h for the $3 CBD surcharge. Some Pax and some TU play hide and seek, Some Pax try to hide during peak hrs, Some TU wait for peak hrs and CBD surcharge....lol

Why dun want $2+$3 and took $3 only?
Did she tipped u? haha some pax even told me u ar cabbies are prostitxx... when we need u just pay when u did thing we dislike we sure fxxx....

I never can imagine a looks good pax would turned into a horrible monster before the trip ended. We should collect whatever we should take according to rule without cheating. Fair.

I encountered similar case as u when I firstly started, booking at Parkmall, the person still holding the phone look at my number plate quickly jumped in refused to pay booking fee. I thought since I aligned pax at taxi stand without moving, aiya chin chay lar...

Later after aligned pax Suntec Tower 2, within 2 sec got booking at Suntec Tower 2. A man just in front of me still holding phone saw my plate ran to my car, I quickly lock door... wind down window asked and confirmed.

At such situation better stay far away, relax and wait.... $3.5 makes a big difference!

A promise is made at the time the security i say ok to take pax. An extra $2.50 booking looks tempting but i decide to keep my promise and press the Meter. The booking is gone before i press meter, but i did not receive any message that i rejected this booking.

Normal booking $2.50, 40cents admin fee, we get $2.10.
Peak hr booking $3.50, 50cents admin fee, we get $3.00.

Question : Advance booking $5.20, how much do we get?

One evening, about 2200h, 3 pax board my taxi at one of the bus stop around AMK A3. As soon as they got up......the taxi is filled with unbearable STENCH.....luckily 2 of the Stinkos drop off at the next bus stop. Then the last pax say go Hougang A8. I tried to get to the destination as fast as i could, the smell is damn horrible, i even thought of paying the pax $$$ to ask him to leave....at last the pax reached his destination....the next thing i do, is wind down all my windows and let natural air get in and rinse away the foul smell.....
The next 2 trips i have pax smells very nice....helps to clear away the bad smell....

Ok, if next time still got stinkos got into my taxi, can i wind down my windows and turned off the aircon? How would u handle this?

Bro peak hr booking $3.50 admin fee is 70 cents you only get $2.80

Advance booking also 70cents you get $4.50 biggrin

i hate pax who exhale their last buff of smoke inside my cabin.
i would usually wind down my 2 front window immediately juz
for about 10 seconds. if it doesn't help, i will wind down again
and again till the smell is gone. usually, the pax would juz keep
quiet.

Bro peak hr booking $3.50 admin fee is 70 cents you only get $2.80

Advance booking also 70cents you get $4.50

I got answers from DRO28 Oct 091015h....
Normal booking 40 cents admin fee, u get $2.10.
Prime time booking and advance booking 50cents admin fee, u get $3.00/$4.70.

70 cents admin fee happened 2 years ago, now changed to 50cents. biggrin

Thanks for update bro ace.
Whatever amount it is doesn't matter, we just need to generate highest income for our love ones. Let's say if we have 3 booking non-prime i.e. 2x3 and 3 CBD then additional $15 is secured and we can go home one hour earlier

Of course take and dun take is depends on different situations.

Bro Ace, for your case in picking up the auntie at centerpoint, i support you.
You got a ready pax without moving an inch after you drop your pax, that's what we call "on the spot".
I never reject pax available on the spot, cos i din waste a single second to start my meter again, my meter start jump first, i win first.
To me, time is money, i want my meter keep on jumping.
It's the continuity that count, one up one down for an hour, at least $35-$40 lo...
But then there's always this function 'STC' (NOT Singapore Taxi Club) on our MDT, use it and you'll only benefit from it.

I passed by Choa Chu Kang MRT....not sure where am i....29oct 0120h got a lady pax flag my taxi at the other side of the road, asking me to U-turn, there was grilled fence in the center divider, so i have to make my U-turn in the junction ahead, while i was waiting to make the U-turn, saw a empty taxi heading towards the direction of the lady pax that flagged my taxi......i was thinking....so suay....guess what.....that lady did not flag that taxi and waited for me. She boarded my taxi, without being asked, say go by Dariy Farm Rd BKE-PIE going to Lorong 2 Toa Payoh. She took the route Upp Bt Timah>Petir rd>Dariy Farm Rd. Lady is abt 30+ , my impression of her is good, patience and faithful, average looking but should be a person of virtue. Throughout the journey, she guided the way patiently. So nice to meet such good pax.....Fare 20.70, she gave me 21, i give her 50 cents, and she was honest to say i given the wrong change, i say its fine.

Most of the pax that flagged me at the other side of the road, always take the taxi that comes along the way after i made the U-turn.....this is the first time i came across such a honorable pax......it gives a special feeling and it moved my heart.....

You are lucky at that timing still got pax at CCK.

Most pax of virtue will wait for you sadly some lowly educated ppl really duno what kind of conduct they have just sukasuka go whatever convenience way.

bro, sorie but i have to disagree with u on this point.
it's not the education level that matters but rather a person's character and upbringing.
there were occasions when those ah beng-ah seng, gangster looking type of pax
flag my taxi on opposite of the road and they waited for me.
Once, some time back, 2 incidents on the same night, both pax flagged me on
opposite side of road but knncb, took another cab b4 i reached them.
Both of them look like those educated type.

What I mean "lowly educated" is those who had not been taught well by their parents to respect people and keep their promises.... I was not related to anything in academy thingy.
